Bell Hockey Classic
Hockey has been part of Bell’s culture since 1903, when team members first competed against Northern Electric for the Telephone Trophy. More than 120 years later, Bell team members and pensioners continue the tradition and get together every year to enjoy our country’s national sport.
2026 Tournament
Registration for both Men’s and Women’s divisions is now open and will close on February 13th, 2026. 100% of team registration fees will be donated to physical and mental health initiatives.

Registration
Who can play?
You must be a current or retired employee of Bell or of a Bell subsidiary.
If you have questions, please send us an email.
Team composition
- Maximum 16 players (including a goalie) per team.
- For teams with less than 16 players, individual players may be added to your team.
Registration fee
- $1200 team registration fee, payable by cheque. The planning committee will coordinate payment with the team captains.

2026 Women's Division
For the third year in a row, the Bell Hockey Classic is organizing a women’s division. We’re excited to announce that the division has been expanded from 4 teams to 6 for this year’s tournament. We encourage participants to include the name of their team’s captain during registration. Otherwise, please register as a free agent and we will add you to an existing team..

What skill level or experience is required for participation?
|
All levels from beginner to advanced are encouraged to participate.

How do I get assigned to a team if I register individually?
|
All individual registrants will be equally distributed on teams based on skill level.

What happens if I miss the registration deadline?
|
All players must register for the tournament and sign the waiver by February 13th, 2026. Anyone who misses this deadline will not be allowed to play. |

Will there be organized practices?
|
No, the Bell Hockey Classic does not organize practices. We encourage participants to connect with their teammates beforehand if they wish to arrange their own. |

Where can I find the schedule?
|
The official tournament schedule will be released closer to the event.

I’m playing on a men’s team – can I find someone to sponsor our team?
|
You are welcome to find sponsors for your team to assist with any costs your team will incur. Please note that individual team sponsors are not recognized as tournament sponsors. Anyone interested in sponsoring at the tournament-level can reach out to bellhockeyclassic.classiquedehockeybell@bell.ca to review sponsorship packages. |

Is there parking available on site?
|
Complimentary parking is available in the Canlan lot for the duration of the tournament. Download the Honk Mobile App ahead of time. You will have to register your license plate on the app when you arrive. Parking must be renewed in the app every 4 hours. |

How much of the event’s proceeds will go to charity?
|
100% of team registration fees will be donated to charity! Thanks to teams’ participation, Bell donated over $30,000 to local organizations following the 2025 Bell Hockey Classic.

Are spectators allowed to come watch?
|
Yes! We encourage participants to invite their friends, families, and colleagues to come watch!

What happens if I get injured?
|
Please see the waiver, release, and assumption of risk document during registration. Paramedics and first aid will be available on-site. |
